The "11" Ginger Maple Fizz Cocktail Inspired By "Stranger Things"

A unique take on a vodka fizz with ginger infused maple syrup.

Ingredients
  

Ginger Maple Syrup

  • 1 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Ginger coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Water

The "11"

  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • .75 oz Ginger Maple Syrup
  • .75 oz Lemon Juice use fresh squeezed!
  • 1 Egg White
  • 3 Ice Cubes
  • 1 small piece Fresh Ginger about the size of a quarter, thinly sliced
  • Grenadine (optional)

Instructions
 

Ginger Maple Syrup

  • Heat maple syrup and ginger in a saucepan until it just begins to bubble.
  • Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 5-6 minutes. Use caution as hot maple syrup is like lava.
  • Allow to cool before using.

The "11"

  • Put vodka, syrup, lemon juice, egg white, and ice cubes in a blender. (I used my Magic Bullet)
  • Blend on full power until the cocktail is nice and frothy (about 30 seconds.)
  • In a tall glass, crush the fresh ginger on the bottom and top with ice.
  • Pour cocktail on top and garnish with a mini eggo.
  • Add a few drops of grenadine if desired to mimic 11's nose bleeds.
