John Wick Cocktail

John Wick doesn’t drink much but when he does he’s usually sipping on a neat pour of Blanton’s Bourbon.

While Blanton’s is a fine bourbon its light, smooth flavor and low alcohol make it suitable for drinking neat, but it tends to get lost in cocktails, so I substituted Bulleit, but feel free to use your favorite bourbon.

I kept the cocktail simple, as John Wick is a man of simple yet elegant living habits. The cocktail is a slight play on a classic old-fashioned.

We also know John’s most infamous non-traditional style of killing goons is with pencil, hence the bloody Amarena cherry stabbed with a pencil for the garnish.

Unique Groom’s Cocktail and Cool Groomsman Gift

I found these unique whiskey stones to keep the cocktail cool. I still like to give the cocktail a quick stir with some ice before serving to cool it down really fast and add just a little water to mellow out the taste.

After serving these cocktails at a party you could simply rinse them off and hand them out as party favors to your guests. They come in a little wooden presentation box and everything. I also used an onyx cocktail shaker set to make mine, which would make an awesome 2nd part of the gift.

It’s a flashy-looking set and it’s worked great with no visible wear and tear so far.
